Finding God’s Purpose for My Life

Nan: “I am 21 years old and was raised by a single mother in a family of four. I am completely lost. I need to find out who I am and what I am doing on earth. Please tell me what is God’s purpose for my life and what does the future hold for me? Where do I go from here? I desperately need to find God’s purpose for my life because I am tired of constantly making mistakes and being in a place where everything does not make sense.”

The Voice for Love: “Precious, most holy One, thank you indeed for opening your heart and asking for help. This is a beautiful sign of willingness in both hearing and loving. We greet you with a holy kiss and bless your day and life.

“You have lived much life but are just now opening the eyes of your heart. You are used to life telling you what to do either by circumstance or default. It is now time that you learn that it is perfectly acceptable for you to tell life what to do. Know assuredly that you have been given an internal guidance system ready to comfort, bless and guide you in every way conceivable. Your very own heart is fully equipped to do this. Your willingness, as evidenced by your asking for help, is what has activated this internal guidance system.

“Now it is time to learn how to use the very heart you are filled with. This will take practice but will surely lead you to peace and joy. Become willing to sit for a time each day. Even just five minutes. Sit quietly without external disturbances. This can be done in your bed each morning before you even get up. Lie still and with eyes closed simply notice your thoughts without judgment. Notice them as if they were spring petals floating to the ground. See them there on the ground around you, a pink and white snow, if you will. These thoughts are harmless. You can now give thanks for these thoughts, no matter what they are.

“In this place of thanksgiving your heart opens wide and greets you. At this time you may simply ask the question, ‘What am I to do right now?’ In this space of peace and thanksgiving, an idea or impulse will arise quietly. It may be getting a cup of water or registering for classes. It could be a desire to eat breakfast or the thought to hug your mother. Trust this guidance and follow. As always, ask for help and clarity throughout your day. We are most assuredly with you. You are not alone. You are the beloved child of God in whom we are most pleased. Every hair on your head is known and beloved.

“Begin to listen to and trust your own heart. It is there that your holiness will be experienced. Thank you for your willingness to hear your heart.

“Love and Amen and Selah.”
